One of our newest projects, Jairah Funds have partnered with OM to provide goats to widows living in Bangladesh. There is great poverty for widows living in Bangladesh. Many do not have any source of income to support themselves and their families. We want to solve this problem by providing widows a goat for their household. A goat will make them self-sustained and self-sufficient. They can sell some of the milk and make a small income and they can also use the goat milk to feed their children. It costs £120 for one goat to be given to a widow that can be used by her to either drink milk or sell.
In 2023 and 2024 we have ran successful online fundraising campaigns, via The Big Give platform, to raise funds for this important project. We are very thankful to all who have donated. We plan to do another campaign in February 2025.
